NJDA 50th Anniversary!!!

As the National Juvenile Detention Association (NJDA) celebrates its 50th anniversary, we wanted to compile a written narrative on the perspectives about the importance of NJDA and the current state of juvenile justice from each of the living past-Presidents and other key leaders who supported and guided the organization over the past five decades.

We are appreciative of the work undertaken to contact these leaders, conduct the interviews, and compile the information.  Students from the Juvenile Delinquency course in the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington conducted the interviews and initial write-ups.
