Leader, Behavioral Health & Clinical Services
Ted has served clinical, professional development, and system improvement roles since joining Juvenile Rehabilitation-Washington State in 2002. He shows up in this work as a person with lived experience, spending half of his adolescence in facilities within the agency where he now serves. He leads a team of 25 program administrators and clinical specialists. His team supports behavioral health services in 3 secure residential facilities, 8 minimum security community facilities, and community-based services using state funds, grants and Medicaid reimbursement. Ted holds degrees in Clinical Social Work and Public Policy & Management from the Ohio State University. He served as the Chair of the Advisory Board with the University of Washington Tacoma School of Social Work & Criminal Justice from 2018-22. He enjoys performing, directing, and composing music for children’s theater with his wife and daughters in his spare time.
